We have had a busy two months at Cheri•Good Quilt Designs. Three new Layer Cake patterns are now available and each quilt is in the twin size range. All three have Pillow Sham designs included in the patterns. . . and all three use one Layer Cake with additional fabric for sashings, borders, backing and binding. Layer Cakes are a new product that you can find more about on our 'What's New?' page on our website.
Cheri will be teaching our Four-Patch Charm Placemats and Napkins pattern at the new 35th Avenue Sew and Vac in Tempe, Arizona. Because the classroom is not quite ready, the class, originally scheduled for May 24, will be rescheduled. Check out their website at www.35thavesewandvac.com for more information and registering. This shop moved across the street and has added fabrics and a new classroom to it former primarily sewing machine shop. All of our patterns are available at the new shop along with a trunk show. Congratulations on a great new shop!
In addition to our newest quilt designs, we have designed a GREEN grocery bag that can be made in a variety of styles. They were made with the beginner in mind as well as being stylish and environmentally friendly. More about them on our 'Pattern Catalog' and 'What's New?' pages of the website.
Cheri and Audrey recently made two of our quilt patterns for our quilting friend, Barbara Heleniak. Barb is opening "Quilting on the Rim", a quilt retreat, near Show Low, Arizona. Barb will also carry our patterns and in exchange for the quilt we made will host the Quilting on the Rim quilters for a weekend in June. We wish her the best in new adventure.
Our big news is The Fabric Patch's request for us to design a quilt for the Southern California Quilter's Run in July. The Hoffman fabric designed to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Quilter's Run was to be used in the design and depicts scenes from Southern Californa in beautiful bright colors. The design is shown on the 'Exclusive Design' page of our website (look for the actual quilt there soon). This design was made exclusively for The Fabric Patch and will be available only there during the Quilter's Run.
We have always had some breathing time in the Arizona summer, but this year we look forward to being busier than ever. Wherever you are, enjoy sewing this summer.
