Road to California

January 20, 2008

We just returned from a whirlwind trip to the Road to
California Quilt Show in Ontario, California. The quilts
were just spectacular! Each time we attend a quilt show,
we marvel at all of the talent, creativity, and skill out
there. Barb Wolf, a fellow quilter from our guild went
with us. A quilt shop owner from Payson, Arizona, Barb
knew the $100,000 winner (also a Payson quilter.) The
Hoffman Challenge finalist exhibit was also fascinating
with the focus fabric finding its way into as many forms as
there were entries. What an exciting show.
In hopes of expanding the reach of our patterns, we also
met many shop owners that were vendors. As a result of our
trip, The Fabric Patch in Montclair, California (very near
Ontario) accepted our trunk show and will also carry our
patterns. If you are a California local, please check out
our quilts first-hand.
So, all-in-all we had a very successful and inspiring Road
to California trip.
Our new quilt pattern, Sailboat Crib Quilt, will be
available within the next week. . . look for information on
our website. It is a 56" x 56" with a red, white, blue and
pale yellow color theme. It is perfect for the brand new
baby boy in your life!
