The Diamonds in the Field Layer Cake Quilt is 61" x 78". Our sample quilt features a Layer Cake, "Basket of Flowers" by Mary Engelbreit for Moda, but any Layer Cake will work. Clear, step-by-step instructions accompanied by many visuals, all in color are now a standard for our patterns. The block for this quilt starts with a square (on point) surrounded by setting triangles. Strips are then added to one side creating the finished block. Flipping the alternating blocks creates a subdued ladder effect. The overall look of this quilt is scrappy. A very pastel color palette is achieved with this fabric line.
